Why Every Watch Tells a Different Story
No two watches are alike — and neither are the people who wear them. A dress watch speaks of sophistication and grace, while a diver's watch echoes adventure and resilience. At House of Time, we understand that choosing a watch is a deeply personal experience. That is why our collection spans across styles, movements, and price points — so every customer finds a timepiece that resonates with their personality, lifestyle, and aspirations. Explore our curated selection and discover the watch that was made for you.
FAQ
How do I wind an automatic watch?
An automatic watch winds itself through the natural movement of your wrist. However, if the watch has stopped due to inactivity, you can manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times. We recommend wearing your automatic watch for at least 8 hours a day to keep it fully wound.
How do I set the time and date on my watch?
To set the time, gently pull the crown out to the second position and rotate it to adjust the hands. To set the date, pull the crown to the first position and rotate it until the correct date appears. Always avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM as this can damage the date mechanism.
Can I wear my watch while swimming or diving?
It depends on the water resistance rating of your specific watch. Watches rated at 100m (10 ATM) or above are suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Watches rated at 200m or above are suitable for recreational diving. Always check the water resistance rating on the caseback before exposing your watch to water.
How do I know if my watch is authentic?
All watches sold at House of Time are 100% authentic and sourced directly from authorised distributors. Each watch comes with its original box, papers, warranty card, and serial number. You can verify authenticity by checking the serial number with the manufacturer or contacting our customer support team.
What is the difference between quartz and mechanical watches?
Quartz watches are battery-powered and are known for their high accuracy and low maintenance. Mechanical watches, on the other hand, are powered by a wound spring and are prized for their craftsmanship and tradition. Automatic watches are a type of mechanical watch that self-winds using wrist movement. Each type has its own charm and purpose.
